Press Council adopted all received complaints for media reporting
(Source: Autonomija) For all received complains the Complaints Commission decided the Journalists Code was violated, at the session held in the Independent Society of Journalists of Vojvodina in Novi Sad.
As was said at the session, in an article „Four children disappeared from the Children’s village in Sremska Kamenica “, published in the Media NOVA.rs and article “Jana is not the only one, three more children dissapeared from Children’s village in Sremska Kamenica only one thing ” by Telegraf.rs, the Code has been violated in several points.
The articles discuss by the arbitrary departure of children from the Children’s village in Sremska Kamenica, and the violation is the presentation of children in media.
The biggest damage was done, it was said, by exposing of the identity of juveniles, by showing their photos and talking to children without the presence of guardians.
About the breach of the Code in the texts “Alo reveales the secrets of Eastern Serbia – Caves are hiding Vlach magic” and “Exclusive: Hello – sacrificed all cows for sex – video” published in the Alo.rs, the Commission decided unanimously.
The largest number of members present assessed that the Code was violated, because the Vlahs as a national minority are representeds in a negativemanner by the author of the text.
The Commission concludes that the Code has breached the text “Novica Tončev ordered a text against Danilo ” published in the media outlets Objektiv and Objektiv.rs, as well as article “Irregularities in the work of the director of the Ruma “Poletarac”!Are there elements for criminal charges?” published in Sremskomitrovački portal.
The Press Council Complaints Commission consists of Bojan Cvejić, Zlatko Čobović, Nadežda Budimović, Olivera Milosevic, Jelena Petkovic, Vlado Mareš, Vida Petrović Škero, Snezana Andrejevic and Dragan Djordjevic.
