COMPETITION FOR MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION
Pursuant to Articles 12 and 22 of the Statute, the Managing Board of the Press Council announces
PUBLIC COMPETITION
for the election of a representative of the public in the Complaints Commission
1) 3 (three) representatives of civil society – the public in the Complaints Commission of the Press Council shall be elected;
2) Candidates for representatives of civil society in the Complaints Commission of the Press Council may be proposed by:
– citizens’ associations, non-governmental, vocational and educational organizations whose goals, prescribed by the statute, are achieved in the field of media, freedom of speech and expression of opinion, protection of human, minority, children’s rights and gender equality; protection of legality and the rule of law, promotion of transparency of work of public authorities and public office holders, fight against corruption and monopolies;
– founders of the Press Council.
3) Nominated candidates must meet the following conditions:
– that they are citizens of the Republic of Serbia.
– to possess the highest professional and moral qualities.
– that they are people with high integrity and authority in the field they are engaged in.
4) Representatives of civil society – the public in the Commission are elected by consensus by members of the Managing Board of the Press Council, who are obliged to consider all proposals received.
5) The public competition for proposing representatives to the public will last from May 4 to June 4, 2023.
