Assembly of Free Serbia to companies: Stop advertising in media that violate the Code
(Source: Danas) The Assembly of Free Serbia called on domestic and foreign companies that adhere to the concept of social responsibility, to urgently stop advertising in the media that continuously and daily violate the journalistic code.
“We are telling companies that intentional violations of the journalistic code, ie propaganda abuse of the media, are not only an act of unprofessional behavior, but also leave very serious consequences,” the statement reads.
“Media such as regime tabloids and television are deeply destroying our society, destroying human lives by engaging in primitive political propaganda, deceiving citizens, promoting hatred and violence and annulling the moral values of civilized society,” the Free Serbia Assembly said.
This group of people pointed out that research shows that there are more and more violations of the journalistic code in Serbia, for which the companies that support the paid ads with their paid advertisements are also responsible.
The Assembly of Free Serbia called on companies that were “blackmailed in any way by the authorities in Serbia into having to advertise in the regime media” to inform the public.
