New members of the Complaints Commission
(Source:FoNet) BELGRADE – The Managing Board of the Press Council has decided that the new representatives of the public in the Council’s Complaints Commission will be professor of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts Ana Martinoli, project coordinator of the Autonomous Women’s Center Sanja Pavlović and lawyer Rodoljub Šabić, it was announced today.
Ana Martinoli, full professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, Sanja Pavlović, project coordinator of the Autonomous Women’s Center and lawyer Rodoljub Šabić, are the new representatives of the public in the Complaints Commission of the Press Council, the managing Board of the Council decided at the session held on Friday, June 16.
The Complaints Commission of the Press Council, which decides on citizens’ complaints about the content of print and online media, has a total of 11 members. In addition to the three representatives of the public, the Commission also includes representatives of four founding organizations of the Press Council – The Media Association, Local Press, The Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) and the Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS), which these organizations will choose by the end of the summer.
The new commission will start working in September.
The Press Council owes great gratitude to the representatives of the public in the Commission whose mandate expires – Vida Petrović Škero, Snežana Andrejević and Dragan Đorđević, who have made an immeasurable contribution to the work of the Commission and the development of media self-regulation with their name, knowledge and experience.
